These mansions are used in conjunction with zodiacal astrology, from the Vedic perspective they can never be separated, it is the stars that form the constellations, and the nakshatras that imbue their qualities into the signs.
They offer a greater ability to apply the power of the cosmos to daily life, and to truly rule over your stars. In this blog I'll cover an easy technique to do just that- use the mansions to strengthen aims and optimize results. But above the material, working with the lunar mansions will strengthen your connection from heaven unto earth, and reveal the animating intelligence of source.
Technique - Your Power Day
Power days, are a name I've attributed to a foundational Nadi Tara technique, due to it's effects. It is your most potent day each month, and is when the Moon transits back to your birth moon's nakshatra (lunar mansion). This 'power day' amplifies the energy of your natal Moon, offering a reunion, and often times, enhanced self-assurance and good luck.
Identify your birth nakshatra, this can be looked up here. Input your birth details, scroll to the bottom and look for the nakshatra listed with Chandra or MO (abbreviation for moon). Instructions on how to locate your birth nakshatra
Track the Moon's transit, it will enter your birth nakshatra for about 1 day each month.
Mark these dates in your calendar. Any activity is considered favorable on this day.
Power days work along the mental level, and will bring more concentrated energy to the nature of that lunar mansion. Therefore it's considered 'powerful' when the moon returns to its birth position.
Example: If you were born with Scorpio Moon at 11 degrees 10 minutes. Your Moon nakshatra is Anuradha. Find each day the moon transits into Anuradha, for each month.

Challenging Lunar Mansions
If your birth nakshatra has an intense or introspective nature, your 'power day' or monthly lunar return might feel unsettling rather than empowering. Mansions like Hasta, Ashlesha, Jyeshtha, Mula, Shatabhisha Uttara Bhadrapada, and Revati have deeper connections to mental/emotional realm and hold sacred spiritual karmas. These nakshatras carry stronger mental and emotional energy, and give its natives heightened intuition, and sensitivities. They hold deeper connections to spirituality, heightened-intuition, altered states of reality, or drive deeper inquiry and revelations.
