Embark on a profound all-inclusive seven-day pilgrimage through the magic of Scotland, where the veil between earth and sky is whisper-thin. Sacred Stones, Spring Equinox Yoga Retreat is a carefully curated journey designed to align your spirit with the magical currents of Scotland and with the rare cosmic cycle. Each day is designed with specific yogic practices to synchronize with the moon, and will weave Scottish lore and tradition into ritual and exploration.
The journey of a life time, unites 3 rare astronomical events with yogic, Orcadian, Norse ceremonies at sacred stone sites-the Temple of the Moon (on the New Moon) and the Temple of the Sun (Spring Equinox).
This is more than a retreat; it is a chance to inscribe your own intentions upon the ancient stones, just as the Norse, Gaelic, and Orcadians did for thousands of years. Aligning themselves and their world with the inscription of the cosmos inscribes led by the moon.

Part 1: Terrestial

Day 1: Arrive and Unwind

Ease into your journey with a calming Restorative Yoga and Meditation session, designed to release travel stress, followed by a welcoming social gathering.
Day 2: Discover and Connect

Morning: Lunar Yoga Class, themed on grounding and balance.

Day: Self-exploration through Edinburgh, guides or recommendations provided upon request.

Evening: Late afternoon special lunar-themed practice to celestial energies and intention, group bonding time, with a classic Scottish group dinner.
March 16-17
Part 2: Sublunary

Day 3: Wild Forrests & Magical Lochs,

Morning: Lunar themed yoga session designed to open your intuition and heighten senses to the landscape's magic and mystery.

Day: Your private guide will lead a scenic drive along the Great Glen. To the most revered and mystical forests, Caledonian pine forest walk in Glen Affric. Continue onto Glencoe, for primeval tranquility and picturesque. Outdoor yoga (weather permitting)

Evening: Dinner followed by a dive into Gaelic folk traditions, and magic- session provided by a Gaelic witch.
Day 4: Raw Nature-Isle of Skye

Morning: Lunar themed yoga session focused on intuition, and reception. Set off with Private guide to Scotland's most iconic isle, the Isle of Skye.

Late Afternoon: Private guide, Fairy pools, the Old man Storr, Hikes, wander into nature and private space to connect.

Evening: Unwind with a Restorative Yoga session and Guided Meditation and breath work to integrate higher intuition. Optional: Timing with the lunar mansions, how to apply the Moon as the ancients did.

Day 5: Journey to the Isles

Morning: We begin with a Journeying Meditation & Yoga themed to awaken the heart. Then transportation will take majority of the day.

The Scenic Route: Eilean Donan Castle, journey through Ullapool, a charming fishing town, and along the epic coast of Wester Ross, with opportunities to stop for photos of pristine beaches and towering mountains.

The Crossing: We arrive at the port of Scrabster in the afternoon to board the NorthLink ferry, VIP seating to Stromness, Orkney. This is a spectacular sea crossing, often accompanied by seabirds, seals, and sometimes even dolphins or orcas.

Evening: Upon arrival in Stromness, get settled and enjoy the late after noon- evening is free to explore. Optional Evening Restorative Yoga and fireside talk on the celestial directions.
Day 6: NEW MOON Connect to Ancient Sites & Stones

Morning: We begin with a powerful "Ancestral Connection" Lunar practice, drawing on the energy of the approaching eclipse.

Day: Journey through the ancient and sacred Neolithic sites and stones, Skara Brea, Standing Stones of Stenness, circle ceremony and breath work practice at the Stones of Stenness. Optional: Maeshowe (Lunar chamber that would mark Winter Solstice with Runis from the Vikings/Norse). Afternoon for self-exploration and personal time.

Evening: Evening Yoga & Breathwork, followed by New Moon Ceremony at Stones of Stenness 'Temple of the Moon', with a silver blessing- Orcadian/Gaelic New Moon ceremony.
Day 7: SPRING EQUINOX Cliffs, Circles & The Copper Moon

Morning: Eclipse preparation yoga, to strengthen the body and release binds, done at the Ring of Brodgar or the cliffs.

Afternoon: Noon, Ring of Brodgar, 'Temple of the Sun' Spring Equinox Ceremony, and circle gathering. Self- time: explore Orkney's wild western coastline, with a guided walk along the Yesnaby cliffs and scenic sites, with puffins, or explore the town of Kirkwall.

Evening : Last evening practice. Followed by Group Celebration Dinner.

The Cosmic Stage: Spring Equinox
A rare alignment is upon us. 3 astronomical events will sync, this is a paramount year to rearchitect a new world. The eclipse will occur at the point between heaven and earth, a position amongst the stars that calls for exaltation, it will rearrange the structure and foundations of our world. Spiritually potent seeking harmony and materially revolutionary.
Astrologically, the spring equinox is a potent moment of rebirth, renewal, and awakening. In Gaelic "Alban Eilir” – the Light of Spring, marked the point in which Light surmounts Darkness the Goddess brings life, fertility, and new awakening. At this celestial point at Brodgar (Temple of the Sun) the western lunar standing stones unite the sun & moon with frame the equinoctial sun as it slips into equal measure.
Each spring equinox, as the sun completes its long journey north, it aligns with the sacred geometry of the henge (stone sites). Astronomically, this is the moment of perfect balance—day and night held in equal measure, marking a pivotal shift from the dark dominance of winter to the burgeoning light of summer. It was a time of powerful awakening. The Veil between worlds was said to thin, allowing spirits to walk and prophecies to be heard. It was a day for "first-footing" the land, for rituals to ensure a fertile season, and for lighting new fires to symbolically reignite the sun’s strength. We will stand within the lunar rings of these sacred stones, a colossal stone calendar and a spiritual amplifier.
Ceremonies
On the equinox, the precise astronomical event converges with the echo of folk practice, transforming the circle into a conduit between the raw power of the cosmos and the timeless rhythms of the earth, reminding all who stand within its embrace of the eternal promise of renewal.The New Moon ceremony, held at the Temple of the Moon (Stones of Stenness) will be done as the ancient Orcadians did- by working with the elements (silver, will be provided), with the power of the moon into a singular point of profound unity. These Neolithic sites used the moon to carve out their world and fulfill their destiny, specifically erected to draw down the moon and synchronize life with her transitions.
We will align with the lunar rhythms throughout our journey to prepare for this sacred time, set upon these sacred sites, as portals to usher in new life, regeneration, and prosperity. It is a time for spiritual awakening to elevate harmony and personal abilities.
