Numerology is a code, a language that translates into letters, colors, shapes, sounds, directions, and spaces. Numbers make up our universe and are keys to understanding the mysteries of the world, the self, and the Ancient Wisdom. The meaning of numbers lives in its composition and application. It is a multilayered system that can become very complex, conversely it can be direct and profound in its simplicity. The first step to decoding the profundity of numerology begins within its structure. There are 4 parts decoding numerological meanings: Number, Magnitude, Division, Repetition, it becomes more complex within each of these. When understanding numerology it's best to start with the meaning, and the repetition. These parts help to decipher the essential meaning within the number itself and through its sequence. Then the meaning applied to the number depends on the school of thought, and more importantly the individual and their intuition.
The Meaning of the Number
Each number has a signature meaning from its composition, such as, 3 being the trinity, the creative initiation, the spirit that communicates, carries; lucky for some, it is the first level of creation-completion. Each singular number is a composition, (1+2) that connects back to the one (monad). See Pythagorean Numbers, and mystical references within the Kabbalah.
The Repetition
How often is the number repeated, and what is the number in repetition indicates the meaning in multiplication and the application. Is it 3, 33, or 333. The number 3 is a composite of numbers that equates to both the individual meaning of its composition (1 +2, as discussed above) then the repetition is the degree in which that number is both emphasized and applied. 3 singular, 33 repeated twice or to the 10th degree, 333 repeated 3x the 100th degree, and 3 in triplicity. Repetition links magnitude (as used in 10th degree and 100th degree) as well as division (33 ÷ 10). It is applied in significance, or alignment. When a number repeats 3 vs 33 its degree increases- its frequency is higher. (3 vs 333333). It is repeating itself in ordering. The higher the number the higher the frequency. It is more frequent and has a higher resonance. These are connecting points-alignment of the same signature. When a number repeats it is emphasized, compounded. This indicates its signature or quality is increased, compounded, and it is also the key to deconstructing the meaning through division. (See Pythagorean Numbers)
Types of Numerology
There are a few types of Numerology; its application spans different cultures, philosophies, and religions. When embarking on Numerology, there are many schools or traditions to aid in this art. (Tantric/Vedic Numerology, Kabalistic/Judaism, Arabic, Christian/Gnosticism, and Chinese numerology.) Dabble in each of them, and/or the schools that use it such as Euclidean Geometry, Pythagorean Numbers, Kabbalah, Gematria, etc. One may captivate your curiosity more than the others, start there. If there is a base understanding or previous work with numbers, resist the temptation to remain with the same school of thought. Numbers are about making connections.

Understanding Numeric Codes
What each of these traditions hold in common is the application of a number and its association. Which is indicative of a unique signature or energetic resonance. That is, numbers in themselves indicate an energetic signature- a composition of qualities that translate into our conscious mind and material reality. For example, the number 8 in Chinese Numerology means ‘ba’ or wealth-prosperity, in Tantric numerology it is a karmic number connected to purity, healing, and the soul. In Judaic tradition, 8 is associated with new beginnings and blessings. In the Arabic lineage it is a balance of power, and carries an authoritative quality. As each of these traditions have a different correlation to the number 8, they have similar signatures, or qualities.
To better explain this qualitative/energetic signature, let’s consider Lakshmi, the Hindu goddess of wealth and abundance with 8 arms. Each arm holding a different symbol, each symbolizing 8 aspects of prosperity or blessings. They are as follows: spiritual wealth, material wealth, health, fertility/beauty, progeny, power, knowledge, and fortune (luck). These 8 attributes equate to material and spiritual wellbeing, and each lineage shows an aspect of prosperity. Be it Arabic with power, Judaic in progeny and fortune, or in Chinese material wealth and in Tantric spiritual wealth. The number 8 carries a balance of prosperity between the aspects of contentment balancing the fortunes of the material world through the blessings of the spiritual. Though numbers may translate into different definitions, its underlying meaning and signature are synonymous- like numeric semantics. Remember the meaning is only part of numerology, the real art lies in the application.
How to Apply Numerology
Numerology can be applied into life through a few ways. The first is becoming aware of numeric repetition. Such as noticing repeating number sequences. The address 369, the clock at 3:69, the phone number or any appearance of repeating numbers. This is a repeating resonant signature and goes beyond the 15:15, 11:11, not to say these sequential numbers are any less significant. But, let’s take the application into a deeper methodology. When a composition of numbers repeats itself, it is in likeness to the current energy signature. Think of it as traveling 60 mph. There is speed, velocity-60, traversing space- miles, within time-per hour. This is a composition of energy within three dimensions (3D). Therefore, when the number 369 (in the example above) is repeating it is registering the components that are occurring within your personal reality. Such as driving 60 mph is the energy of movement, within personal reality.
The first step is to become aware within the conscious mind. That is the subconscious mind is continually registering and picking up on all the nuances and repetitions-it enjoys repetitions. The point is awareness, without searching. Once the conscious mind becomes aware of a pattern, it sneakily searches for the manifesting pattern. Awareness without searching allows the subtle signals to appear, like a meter or odometer registering to the mind. It is also important to note the frequency of repeating numbers, and cognizance without searching. Such as how many times did 369 appear? 4x in a day, everyday this week? Observance of the frequency lends itself to another level of numeric ideation. This ideation is a key to application. It signifies: the level/plane occurring/initiating, what is manifesting, and the current energy in manifestation. This theory is best supported through Euclidean geometry. But, the application of numbers and its frequency will show past-origin, present-appearance of sequence, and future-manifestation.
For example, if a journey from Monument Valley, AZ to Santa Fe, NM is 369 miles, the numeric signature, 369 is both indicated by origin and destination (point A to point B). Where you started and where you’re headed. One cannot exist without this other. Therefore seeing 369 4x in a day may indicate the numeric resonance of 369 is affecting the energy signified by 4- stability, framework, form, direction, and foundation. Both the outcome and the origin are being influenced by the energy of 369.
Summary
The exploration of numerology can create a sense of interconnectedness. The repetition of numbers offers a subtle awareness to reveal synchronicities beyond the unassuming eye of coincidence. It’s one thing to notice repetition and another to understand what lies within it. The very exploration of this art will unfold deeper components of the universe. It can be used to understand one's personal resonance-state of being, the phase of manifestation, and how everything in life is apart of a numeric equation- dividing, multiplying, subtracting, and adding back to one infinitely. These schools open a world of mysticism, but also the ancient wisdom hidden in science and the arts such as geometry, wave frequencies, color-spectrums, and musical, such as the perfect 5th harmonic. Numbers link our unseen world to our known world and offer a method of deducing it all.
